My name is Lynn and I am the “we” at Evening Star Creations!

I'm fairly new to the world of jewelry making. By trade, I'm a musician and educator, but now I'm slowly and steadily perfecting my skills as an artisan, and it feels great

Harmony and design captivate me; countless hours can pass and I'm still playing with beads and stones, or lyrics and harmonies, until I come up with something I like, something I consider beautiful.

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, a little more than a stone's throw from the majestic Rocky Mountains.  And from time to time, on a clear night, I can see Venus, the Evening Star (my studio's namesake) shimmering away.  Sometimes I like to think we're a team, collaborating to bring beauty into form.

Venus, The Evening Star

We mix and blend stones and beads and findings at Evening Star Creations with a singular focus, that of bringing something of beauty into being.  Venus is our muse, and her inspiration is endless! She is the Goddess of Beauty and the Evening Star, and so our site bears her name.

This depiction of Venus, entitled "Venus de Milo", is believed to have been sculpted by Alexandros of Antioch around 100 BC.  It is 6'8" tall and is on permanent display at The Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

“Evening Star, you bring all things

that the bright dawn has scattered.”

~Sappho, Greek Lyric Poet (625-570 BC)
